In the Hunter Lab, we develop materials and molecules which can electrochemically and sustainably convert earth-abundant feedstocks to value-added chemicals and fuels. Aided by computational methods, we employ state-of-the-art materials synthesis protocols and applied electrochemistry to screen and assay materials for desired reactivity.

Photoelectrocatalysis

CO2 Reduction

Pulsed Laser Synthesis

About the Lab

The Hunter lab was founded in Fall 2018 at the Rowland Institute at Harvard. It moved to Northwestern University in the Fall of 2022.

As of August of 2023, the Hunter Lab is certified as a Green Lab through sustainNU!
